David joined the Inspiration Point in 1999, now Team Darst. Since then he has trained and worked with more than a thousand coaches, both in one-on-one coaching and relationship and systems coaching…
Team Darst, formerly “The Inspiration Point,” was founded in 1998 by Cynthia Loy Darst. In 2001, David Darst joined as her partner.
First, a litte history: Back in the 80’s Cynthia and David were just out of college and had moved to NYC to become Professional Actors. The first person Cynthia met in 1983 when she moved to NYC was Henry House (now Henry Kimsey-House, founder of The Coaches Training Institute) at the time, he was part of AIP (Actor’s Information Project) which helped Professional Actors understand how the Business of Show Business works. Within a year, Cynthia was making her living as an Actor. Within three years, she knew that there was something more that she was supposed to be doing with her life.
Fast forward to now: Cynthia Loy Darst and David Darst are known internationally in the coaching world. Cynthia’s been a Professional Co-Active Coach since 1992, David since 2000. Based in Los Angeles, they travel the world. They are both Senior Course Leaders on the faculty of CTI (The Coaches Training Institute), the company that Henry Kimsey-House founded with Laura Whitworth and Karen Kimsey-House. They are also Senior Course Leaders for CRR Global (The Center for Right Relationship) founded inside of CTI by Marita Fridjhon and Faith Fuller in 2003. When CRR Global put out it’s own shingle in 2004, Cynthia and David continued leading for both schools.
Cynthia and David have also been actively involved in the development of the coaching profession. David served as the President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the ICF in 2004. Cynthia was President of ACTO (The Association of Coach Training Organizations) from 2012-13.
